Equipping mental health professionals to serve hurting, stigmatized, and oppressed peoples locally and globally

what we’re all about

As a newly-formed 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in the state of Texas, the Texas Institute of Professional Psychology (TIPP) is a small but growing team committed to providing advanced training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy that integrates an ecumenical Christian theology and multicultural psychology.

TIPP’s primary focus is to infuse the science and practice clinical psychology with an authentic, evangelical, and grace-centered Christian faith, so that our students will be better positioned to alleviate humanity’s deep suffering.

Our Culture

Our team is comprised of builders — people who employ their individual strengths and talents to support our vision and bring it to fruition.

We value both the collaborative process and independent initiative. We are relaxed in spirit, but engaged and active in our work. Our ideal team member will skillfully strike a balance between self-directed and team efforts.

Above all, we welcome those who passionately embrace our mission — who are committed to supporting TIPP as we equip mental health professionals to meet our community in the midst of hurt, oppression, and deep suffering.

what to know before applying:

  • Before you apply, please be sure to have read the job description thoroughly, and match your CV to the required skills. Let your experience show us how you are well-suited for the available position.

  • Show us how you work in your CV: Give us concrete examples of an achievement, or even of a failure and how you dealt with it.

  • In your cover letter, tell us why this job and what you think you bring to the table. What is it that attracted you to this position?

  • Some applications will ask for a writing sample. We recognize the value of and want to honor your time. When a writing sample is requested, it is because the available position is writing intensive, and we need to be able to evaluate your writing skills as part of the initial review process.
